High rigidity comes from three design features: reinforced bed construction, wide column with torque tube reinforcement, and extra‑wide base. X axis uses 55‑type roller linear guideway with dual rails. Y axis uses four 55‑type roller rails (wide‑span four‑rail support). Z axis uses heat‑treated and ground box way instead of roller guides. Heavy‑duty ballscrews meet JIS C3 class with 55 mm diameter and 12 mm pitch. Rapid traverse rates are 16 meters per minute on X and Y, but only 12 meters per minute on Z because Z carries heavier weight. Cutting feed ranges from 0 to 10 meters per minute. Standard tool magazine holds 24 tools with disc‑type armless design; optional 32‑tool magazine available. Positioning accuracy is ±0.005 mm over 300 mm travel, repeatability ±0.003 mm over 300 mm. Scope of Application
Typical parts include large injection molds, die‑casting dies, engine blocks, gearboxes, and heavy plates. Machine performs roughing with high metal removal rates as well as precision finishing. Works well in single‑part or small‑batch production environments where workpiece weight and size are primary concerns.
Equipment Manufacturing Process
Customer builds foundation according to drawing. Concrete thickness must reach at least 600 mm. Strength requirement is 20.68 MPa or higher. Grouted type foundation recommended. Three‑phase 380V power supply must be installed before machine arrival. Clean compressed air with filtration accuracy of 100 μm is also required. Customer also prepares hydraulic oil (ISO VG32 for winter or VG46 for summer), guideway oil (ISO VG68), and spindle oil (P‑5).
Factory starts with casting aging treatment for bed, column, and worktable. Five‑side gantry mill finishes all mounting surfaces in single clamping. Assembly includes 55‑type roller guides on X and Y axes, box way on Z axis, heavy‑duty C3 ballscrews (55×P12 on all axes). Then install BT50 belt spindle at 6000 rpm with oil cooling and ring coolant. Fit 24‑tool disc magazine (optional 32T). Connect hydraulic system, lubrication system, and front chip discharge conveyor.
After assembly, laser interferometer compensates positioning errors. Ballbar test checks circular interpolation accuracy. Machine runs no‑load for 48 hours while technicians monitor spindle temperature rise and vibration levels. Test cut customer sample if available.
Customer visits factory or watches video for pre‑acceptance. After approval, customer pays remaining balance. Machine receives anti‑rust treatment, wooden case packing, and shipment. Engineer travels to customer site for installation, leveling, and one day of operator training. Warranty lasts 12 months with lifetime technical support.
