
Large Gantry CNC Machining Center
FEM finite element analysis optimizes rib plate layout. Bed, column, beam, and other large components are high-strength cast iron with tempering treatment. X/Y axes use 55-type roller linear guideways (precision class). Z axis uses box way with PTFE coating. Three-axis ballscrews use C3 class heavy-duty double-nut preloading to eliminate backlash. Standard 24T disc-type armless tool magazine, optional 32T. Hydraulic system handles spindle unclamping and ram balancing. Electrical cabinet air conditioner, oil cooler, and automatic lubrication station are all standard. Optional manual side milling head or universal head allows machining of workpiece sides and inclined surfaces, expanding gantry machine flexibility.

Scope of Application
Particularly suitable for complex large parts requiring multi-face machining, such as turbine housings, metallurgical equipment frames, military missile launchers, ship engine bases, etc., also suitable for deep cavity mold machining.
Equipment Manufacturing Process
Selection and alignment: Clarify workpiece material, dimensions, accuracy (positioning ±0.005/300mm, repeatability ±0.003/300mm), and whether side milling head or gearbox is needed.
Contract and foundation: Sign contract. Customer builds foundation per drawing (grouting type recommended), pre-installs power supply, air source, hydraulic oil, etc.
Manufacturing and debugging: Casting aging → five-side machining → assemble linear guideways / ballscrews / spindle / tool magazine → laser interferometer compensation → circular test → optional accessory installation and debugging.
Delivery and training: After customer pre-acceptance passes, pay remaining balance and ship. Engineer arrives on-site for installation, calibration, and operator training (1 day), and provides random documentation (accuracy chart, system manual, etc.).

Q1. After selecting optional manual side milling head (90 degree) or universal head, how to ensure accuracy?
A: Side milling head is positioned through spindle flange. Its own accuracy (perpendicularity, coaxiality) is calibrated with dial gauge before shipment. During use, compensate tool length and radius in program. For high precision requirements, test cut sample workpiece first for verification.
Q2. What oil needs regular replacement in machine hydraulic system?
A: Hydraulic station uses ISO VG32 (winter) or VG46 (summer). Replace after first 3 months of use, then every 6 months thereafter. Spindle oil temperature system uses P-5 spindle oil. Guideway and ballscrew use ISO VG68 guideway oil.
Q3. How does gantry machining center avoid vibration during heavy cutting?
A: Base adopts extra-wide design, column bottom span is widened, and X/Y axis guideways have large number of sliders (X-axis 6 sliders, Y-axis 4 sliders). Z-axis box way cooperates with plastic-coated surface, all effectively suppressing vibration. Additionally, it is recommended to place workpiece evenly on worktable, avoiding overhang.
