High Precision Gantry Machining Center has large three-axis travel, worktable size 2000×1300mm, load capacity 4 tons. Spindle is BT50 belt drive 6000rpm, motor power 15/18.5kW (FANUC/Mitsubishi) or up to 30kW (Siemens 828D). Optional planetary gearbox increases output torque to 292Nm. Control system supports FANUC 0iMF, Mitsubishi M80V, or Siemens 828D, meeting different user preferences.

Product Introduction

Whole machine adopts fixed beam gantry configuration. X/Y axes use 55-type roller linear guideways (P precision class). Z axis uses high-hardness ground box way (with PTFE coating). Ballscrews are C3 class heavy-duty double-nut type, pre-stretched to eliminate thermal deformation. Standard disc-type armless 24T tool magazine, optional 32T. Chip removal system is double screw + chain plate type. Coolant is standard rear flushing. Spindle oil cooler, electrical cabinet air conditioner, and automatic centralized lubrication are all standard. Optional high/low range gearbox expands cutting range.

Scope of Application

 

Widely used in industries such as large precision molds, aerospace structural components, new energy vehicle battery trays, wind power equipment, and heavy machinery parts, capable of completing full process from roughing to finishing.

 

Equipment Manufacturing Process

01/

Communication and confirmation: Customer provides machining requirements. Our side recommends configuration (control system, tool magazine capacity, optional gearbox or side milling head) based on material, dimension, and accuracy.

02/

Contract signing and material preparation: Both parties sign contract. After receiving deposit, start casting tempering and long-lead imported component procurement (ballscrews, guideways, bearings, etc.).

03/

Assembly and inspection: Machine large parts per drawing. Assemble linear guideways, ballscrews, spindle, tool magazine. Use laser interferometer and ballbar for accuracy compensation. Perform 72-hour continuous no-load operation test.

04/

Acceptance and shipment: After pre-acceptance (customer visits factory or video) passes, customer pays remaining balance. Pack and ship machine. Provide on-site installation and commissioning, offer programming and maintenance training (1 day), deliver random documentation (paper accuracy chart, electronic manual).

FAQ

 

Q1. What are differences between three CNC systems (FANUC, Mitsubishi, Siemens)? How to choose?

A: FANUC 0iMF and Mitsubishi M80V belong to Japanese series, similar operation logic, high cost-effectiveness, suitable for mold and general machining. Siemens 828D offers more flexible programming for complex contours and five-axis linkage, suitable for high-end applications like aerospace. Specific recommendation can be made based on user preference and process requirements.

Q2. Machine total weight is 21 tons. What are requirements for factory floor load capacity?

A: Recommended concrete floor thickness ≥300mm, with load capacity not less than 5t/m². Machine installation requires independent foundation (per foundation drawing), with anti-vibration trenches around. Civil engineer evaluation required before installation.

Q3. Standard tool magazine is 24T. Will tool change time increase when optional 32T is selected?

A: Tool magazine capacity increases, but tool change mechanism remains disc-type armless type. Adjacent tool change time remains essentially unchanged (about 3-5 seconds). Non-adjacent tool positions have slightly increased time (about 0.5-1 second) due to larger rotation angle of tool disc, which has little effect on overall cycle time.
