Lathe model designations follow the GB/T 15375-2008 national standard naming rules. Different types of lathes correspond to specific mainstream models; the following is a classification of common models found on the market:
Conventional Horizontal Lathes
These lathes use "C" as the category code and represent the most widely used basic machine type:
- Classic general-purpose models: CA6140, C6132, C6163, 6180. Among them, the CA6140-with a maximum swing diameter of 400mm-is the standard model for educational settings and small-to-medium-scale machining operations.
- Dalian Machine Tool classic series: CD6250, CW61100. The latter offers a maximum machining diameter of 1000mm, making it suitable for processing large shaft components.
- Small benchtop models: C0630A, Jingxing C7. These models feature a compact structure, making them ideal for machining small parts and equipment maintenance tasks.
CNC Lathes
These use "CK" as the core designation and are categorized into different tiers based on functionality:
- Economical CNC lathes: CK6140, CK6136. Driven by stepper motors with a positioning accuracy of ±0.02mm, they are suitable for the batch processing of small shaft components.
- Full-function CNC lathes: CK6180, CAK5085nj. Equipped with servo motors as standard, they achieve positioning accuracy of up to ±0.005mm and support complex curved surface machining.
- Turning centers: HTC2050, QT200. These integrate milling and drilling functions and feature Y-axis live tooling; with a repeatability of ±0.002mm, they enable multi-process composite machining.
- Specialized CNC models: CK3220CF. Designed specifically for polygonal machining applications, offering high stability. III. Vertical Lathes
- Centered on the C51 series, designed for large-diameter disc-shaped components:
- Conventional single-column vertical lathes: C5116A, C518, and C5110; featuring table load capacities of up to 8 tons and machining diameters ranging from 800 mm to 2,500 mm.
- CNC vertical lathes: CK5120 and CK5112S; offering maximum turning diameters of up to 2,000 mm, suitable for machining large flanges and wind power components.
Other Specialized Lathes
- High-precision lathes: CM6132 (where "M" denotes precision characteristics); specifically designed for precision component machining applications.
- Reinforced heavy-duty lathes: CMH6150; capable of supporting heavy workpieces and suitable for heavy-duty cutting operations.
